Mostly TV related

1. NBA Playoffs: Second round is such a bust. As of now all series are blowouts except for Boston/Cleveland. I'm disappointed b/c I was looking foward to some good basketball. However, Saturday's Laker/Jazz game was awesome. Right down to the buzzer. Hopefully the East/West finals will have some good series.

2. My award for Best New Television Show: Modern Family. It is so good to have a funny show on tv. I feel like the half hour sitcom kinda died for me when Friends/Sienfeld went off the air. And those shows were not this funny. Sienfeld was clever humor and if you watch any reruns of Friends it is almost as bad as watching Saved by the Bell reruns as to how cheesy the jokes were. I cannot remember a non-animated sitcom that made me laugh out loud as much as Modern Family. The casting is fantastic. Even the kids on the show are hiarious. I think it works b/c no one person has to carry the show. This way there can be 4-5 stories going on and it is not spme ridiculous epsiode about some unrealalistic scenerio.

3. How about this weather? Had to do it. It seems like thats all everyone is talking about. It's been cold, I've been outside, you dont have to tell me. Its cimate change, just like in all the disaster movies. You'll see, and dont say I didnt tell you.

4. Back to TV. Even though we are in the home stretch of TV shows for the season, I cannot help but begin to get a little excited for summer TV. Friday Night Lights just started back up, The Bachelorette, Big Brother, America's got Talent will start soon. Its not terrible TV for the summer season. I am sure there are some others I am missing as well. Also, I can get back into Netflix. There is just way to much going on to have time for TV and movies. I love Netflix, I would do a commercial for them for free. Which leads me to think of HULU which is amazing and so close to being as good as DVR. If they could just get CBS on board they would make the leap. I had 33 shows in my queue this monrning. You gotta use it b/c HD takes up too much DVR space and I'm not watching some shows in reuglar definition.

5. If you are not watching Survivor you are missing out.

6. If you are not watching RW/RR Fresh Meat you are double missing out. How cold do you think the water is there? 40 degrees? The water at the beach is in the low 50's now and they are in Canada and it was taped at least 2 months ago. I am a little bummed that the elimination challenge is only rotating between 2 events. I think for the next challenge they should do a "best of" with the actual weekly challenges. Bring back the best events from past seasons, like Survivor is doing right now.

7. LOST- just to let you know how pumped I am for the next/ last 4.5 hours, i'd say way more than we were pumped for Real World Cancun. And you know what that means---high expectations= poor enjoyment. I really hope they dont crap out with these last episodes. I know everyone wont be happy but at least give us closure. No one has had any idea what is going on for 5 years, so at least dumb it down and give us an ending. I remember how pissed everyone was for the end of Sopranos(even though I have never seen an acutal episode. Never had HBO during those years) and I would hate to have that taste in my mouth (thats what she said) after watching every single episode.
